2022 SCC Annual Holiday Celebration

On December 3, 2022, The Syracuse Corvette Club held its annual holiday party at the Ramada by Wyndham in Liverpool, NY.
Our Charity Gift Recipient this year was the Central New York Ronald McDonald House Charities. Our generous Syracuse Corvette club members donated $1,190 in cash, checks, and gift cards along with various items on the RMHC "wish list".

Parade of Homes
Special thanks to the Home Builders & Remodelers of CNY for inviting our Syracuse Corvette Club to be a special part of this year's Parade of Homes at the Old Towne Estate neighborhood in the town of Onondaga on October 22nd. We had 25 members and 2 guests in 14 Corvettes, scattered among the beautiful new homes.

Otisco Fire Department Pancake Breakfast

29 members in 16 Corvettes enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast provided by the Otisco Fire Department on October 2nd.

Breakfast was followed up by a cruise along Otisco and Skaneteles Lakes where some members posed for a few group photo.

Corvettes of Carlisle, the largest Corvette event in the world, was held at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds on August 25-27. 41 members, 2 guests and 24 Corvettes from the SCC attended this year's event. It was a fun-filled weekend with a huge automotive flea market and a variety of vendors. The weekend finished off with a huge Corvette parade through downtown on Saturday evening.

46th Annual Fillmore Auto Show
Fillmore Glen State Park hosted its 46th Annual Fillmore Car Show on Sunday, September 4th. The Syracuse Corvette Club had 21 members in 11 Corvettes at this year's event.

State Fair Parade 2022
On August 30th, 13 Corvettes gathered at the New York State Fair to participate in the evening parade. Unfortunately, due to very rainy weather, the parade was cancelled.

Vettes for Pets
Our 5th Annual "Vettes for Pets" Cruise took place on Sunday, August 21st, from the CNYSPCA to Home Team Pub in Liverpool with a police escort from the Dewitt Police Department. Lunch was served and there were raffles and prizes. Despite the soggy weather, there were 60 members, 3 guests and 20 Corvettes in attendance.

Our SCC Annual Cruise to the EAA Chapter 486 Pancake Breakfast at Oswego County Airport was held on Sunday, August 14th. There were 58 members, 1 guest and 34 Corvettes in attendance.

On Sunday, August 14th, following the EAA Chapter 486 Pancake Breakfast, we again cruised as a group to Ava's Awesome Lemonade Stand in Liverpool, NY, to support this young girl's endeavor to raise funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer, a 501 (c) (3) childhood cancer research organization.

“Corvettes & Coffee” at Pineview Run Auto & Country Club in LaFayette, NY (Otisco) July 3rd 10:00 am to Noon
A nice Cruise-In and "Open House" and the opportunity to see this fantastic private facility up close. Everyone had the opportunity to do four "parade laps" on this very fun course, if they chose, for $20 per vehicle. We had a large showing of members and their cars for this great get together!!

Fun at Sportsman BBQ
Lake Forest Sportsman Club

Thanks to Tom and Sharon Lott as well as the members of the Lake Forest Sportsman Club for a hearty Chicken BBQ with all of the fixings.
As usual, the overcast skies did not darken the spirits of the SCC members who attended! If you couldn't attend this time, there will be another BBQ on July 24.
Corvette Cruise-In Groundbreaking Celebration at Van Bortel Chevrolet

Members from the SCC cruised together in two separate groups on Saturday, May 14th to attend the ground breaking ceremony at VanBortel Chevrolet. We arrived to stage together and show off our nineteen cars along with hundreds of others from all over New York State. Festivities lasted between 3:00 pm & 7:00 pm while we were entertained with complimentary food, ice cream and live music. The groundbreaking ceremony at 5:00 pm included words from owner Kitty VanBortel along with several of her department representatives. It was a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon!
